It was important for Nina and I to showcase her ancestors and her culture of native american. She is Cherokee, Aztec, Buffalo and Sux Indian. The biggest challenge I faced was framing it perfectly and having her look up to the wall art. It took awhile for me to frame it, but overall I believe my delivery in this image is artistic and a good example of conceptual illustration.
This specific content is important to me because homelessness is increasing dramatically in America. Nina has only lived in Reno since the beginning of 2020, but she accepts that this is her current roots. The tree symbolizes her roots. She sleeps under this awning every night, alongside her husband. The biggest challenge we faced with this picture was moving around to different trees due to the sun. In due time we were able to work with it. I am very satisfied with my work and I would not change much.
I wanted to showcase the frame/cover of what Nina’s life is currently. Her life and living situation has evolved a lot since becoming homeless, and I wanted to capture that in this image of her “home”. The awning is placed with several metal tables and they sleep on the ground with a few blankets and no pillows. I am satisfied with my work, I believe the image speaks for itself.

For my spec commercial stills I am advertising coffee, the coffeehouse element and how a Starbucks coffee makes you feel on a nice day. Many people in the world depend on coffee and the sensation of it. In these 3 images I wanted to capture a calm feeling and easy going day that coffee can provide for you. The model always portrays calmness and at peace while sipping her drink at the same time. I would have liked to experiment more with different coffee elements and themes, but I am satisfied with how my images are able to portray their own meanings.

Product Shot 1:
This specific content is important because I wanted to advertise an easy, healthy lifestyle that anyone can maintain. For my Trader Joe’s ad, I wanted to capture fresh produce and other store items that the store provides for their consumers. The biggest challenge I faced was how to place the products and how to create the perfect lighting. After trying different lighting sources, I learned with a more broad source, the light rays hit the Trader Joe’s products from more directions, causing them to fill in the shadows and give more of an illumination to the scene. I am satisfied with my delivery, I think the image speaks for itself and is a very colorful advertisement to the audience. I would have liked to add more components to the image. Such as height factors like lettuce coming out of the basket and other elements.

This specific content is important to me because the brand “TeaBago” aims to source the ingredients from sustainable, fair trade and mostly organic farms. Tobago’s environment provides a plethora of fruits and tea leaves that are full of flavour. The biggest challenges I faced was creating the right scene of natural, organic and herbal ingredients and I dealt with this by finding all the ingredients that made up that specific tea. I tried to incorporate them to the best of my ability. I am satisfied with this product shot, I could have added more and different earth elements, perhaps taken it outside or changed the background to create more color.

This specific content is important because most people do not understand what it takes to maintain curly hair and it is never advertised as much as other products. For my curly hair product ad, I wanted to capture the true essence of what these all natural, paraben and sulfate free products provide for its customers. With the water dripping down them, next to the fresh oranges and flowers creates a natural aesthetic. The biggest challenge was to find other elements to use besides the hair care products. The right lighting was also difficult at first and adjusting the key light to hit the products correctly, it just took time to figure out. I am satisfied with what I have delivered, I could have used a different background for this to add more vibrance.
